    Just wanted to know if this forum has a 'Chat Room' function?

    We might not have used the old one much but it was used.

    MSN sucks! I don't bother with it.

    I just thought if someone was posting then it's easier to engage them in a chat room here than looking to see if they are MSN. I post here which means I'm online but you won't see me on MSN so you can't 'chat' to me.

    I don't see why not, but that would kind of defeat Tim's point, which was that when he saw people were on-line on PS, he could pop into the chat room and converse with them. It's unlikely everyone would remember to log in to the old PS whenever they were using the new forum, just in case someone was in the chat room.

    However, I'm generally in favour of NOT having a chat room if it's a pain to implement - the chat room on the old forum was hardly used in the last year we were there.

    All true, & since we Tim's not letting us see when he's on-line we'll never know if he's on-line to chat to us anyway.

    oh, and as for the idea of using the chat forum on the old forum - you can't. it's a Gold board only option, and hence is no longer there
