Default What Should You Be Doing Now?

Let's face it, most of us have things to do but we start posting on forums and spend all our time here instead of getting on with stuff.

So, what are you supposed to be doing now?

I'm supposed to be working on a plotline for a publisher, but here I am posting away. Not good, and I only have just over an hour before work. "So knuckle down, young man!"
    I am out there... somewhere.

I'm supposed to be fixing a calculation in a Pfizer scheme pension model to get rid of some annoying 'N/A' errors where it should put a clean 'zero'. I'm basically repairing a shoddy job I did yesterday.

I really should be sorting out a policy premium payment plan but I can't be arsed at the moment.

I went over to get the details of the problem member and someone else had nosied in and fixed my problem for me while I was gone.

That's the kind of work I like - the sort that someone else does for you while you're not looking!

I have precisely nothing to do now until a lady called Bavna (once described by one of my colleagues as "an annoying banshee") sends me some SQL and formulae for another model.

I should be updating the Radioactive waste database, chasing someone up about supplying waste bins and confirming a disposal inventory of our radioactive waste.
Oh and finishing off the records archiving.
And there's a mountain of filing to do!

I should be emptying boxes of delivery, sorting them and returning items ready for re-shelving.

    But I'm not!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

My day is surprisingly similar... nothing to do, yet still haven't actually managed to get to Reading, and do my christmas shopping!

I should be writing a speech, but the lure of listening to a bit of metal and a browse online proved too much!

I'm off four a long weekend, so I'm not avoiding any paid work by being on here. I had planned to do some writing this weekend though, so I'll have to try to tear myself away at some stage.

Sleeping. Well, since I've been up since 4:30 I feel I should be sleeping. Zzzzzzz...
