    Default Today I bought...

It's time for a new purchasing thread. I'm starting it even though I haven't bought anything today.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'm hunting down the Original Star Trek series on blu-ray, if anyone knows where it is less than £100...

Tricky. For some reason the Trek series seem to hold their value.

You see, this is what's putting me off buying a Blu-Ray - the cost of the discs!

It's not normally that much more expensive than DVD... not sure why these Trek ones are twice as much on the blu ray!!

If it was me, I'd rather go for the better packaged box set:

I'm confused! Would you rather buy Season 1 for £45 than Seasons 1 to and 3 for £100 total??

I'ld rather than a box set that looked good on the shelves (because that's where it's going to spend most of it's time) and didn't scratch the discs.

Given the popularity of Star Trek, I'm tempted to make a cynical remark!

    Anyway, I've bought stuff:

Early Takes vol. 1 by George Harrison
Made In Basing Street by Lol Creme and Trevor Horn's new band, the Producers
The Trail Of The White Worm
    the Oseidon Adventure

*- Any complaints about this are to be forwarded to the makers of NCIS. Or David McCallum.

On my latest attempt to get the DVD's I'm missing, I've just ordered The Sensorites, The Sun Makers and Ace Adventures - all coming in at slightly under £30 at Amazon!

I thought that too, but I have now bought a Sony Blu-Ray player which upscales your DVD collection to near Blu-Ray quality. I have to say that the picture is a lot brighter and sharper.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

A haircut and a white magnum.

They should give out free Magnums with every haircut! Who do I need to speak to in order to enshrine this in law??

I'll support you! This HAS to become law. It's more sensible than most of the things the Government are coming up with right now!

White Magnums should be given away at every conceivable moment. Like condoms...

I can see it now; on street corners, sellers saying
"Do you want a condom with your Magnum?"

It would be great if you could get Magnum packets of three for £1 in pub toilets.

    Let's stop there.

    Do you want a:

    • Multi-Flavour Magnum 3 pack?
    • A King Size Magnum 3 pack?
    • Extra Pleasure Magnum 3 pack?

Slipping a condom over a Magnum is the only way to be sure that you'll be safe from it's delicious chocolatey taste.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

They're all mad. And I started it all merely by buying a white chocolate magnum.
