Excellent work - this was a good little episode with some good gags. There was a lot of build-up with the Galactic Truth, but I suspect this will all be paid off in part two. It's an interesting new way to take the Cybs to make them into a cult, or religion. Again there's that obsession with money! Anyone would think the Doctor was in our Universe after all.

Can we have a cast list for this one? I really liked the performances from Trent Wilkins and the Missionary Nun, but I'm not sure who they are! And the voices of the monsters at the end of the episode were great too, who's doing those?

Charles and Erica make their debut appearances with Planet Skaro Audios. Charles may be better known as Craven Moorehead, from earlier iterations of Outpost Gallifrey. Erica owed me a favour!

I think Charles Christopher was brilliant in this episode, considering he recorded this on a different continent to the rest of us! He makes Trent Wilkins a charismatic yet sinister presence throughout the episode, with the feeling that underneath the smooth exterior there's something nasty lurking.

I'd love a Corduroy tuxedo by the way.

So how did you find the production, Brendan? Was it as easy / hard as you thought it was going to be?

Firstly, I'd like to say that the production was technically spot on. I didn't spot anything that I could call a 'flaw' or mistake, it all tied together really nicely. And the voices for the monsters were great re-creations too. Here's a couple of random things I noticed:

- The TARDIS was very echoey! Perhaps more than I'd do myself, but it does help to make it feel more epic and spacious.
- The whole business with the virtual reality section and the lion was done very well. Did I hear a snippet of choral fx from New Order in the mix there? Maybe it's just me!
- Always great to hear the excitement music from the 60's.

I also thought the Doctor and Tom were on good form here, especially the Doctor. I think Brendan really 'sells' the lines and gets into the emotion of the scene, especially with the reference back to Massanicassa. Excellent stuff.

Excellent, gripping story! Some lovely lines in this that really made me laugh, such as Tom's resigned "you have no idea" with regards to the Doctor's erm queerness :-) Also loved the little squeak we heard when the Doctor was rummaging through his pockets. What was that object?

I thought the Trent character was brilliant! And as for Percy - it was like listening to Shughie McVie on ecstasy!

I felt the story had a very Douglas Adams vibe to it - well done to Ant!

Can't wait for part 2 - I'd even be prepared to shell out a few grockles for it :-)

Paul's Doctor always carried around a squeaky rubber duck, so maybe the nbew Doctor does too?

Thanks for the compliments- especially from you Steve, as I always enjoy your production! The echoey TARDIS was specifically designed to make the library seem huge. No idea where the choral effect came from- think it was just a loop in Garage Band...

The production was mostly straightforward, as GarageBand is very intuitive. Despite my complaints yesterday, I'm starting to get my head around Audacity to produce Episode 2!

This was the first audio play that I've ever written (with script editing from Brendan, of course), and while I had a LOT of fun writing it, I'm finding it really bizarre listening to it! Obviously, I know what's coming, and the ways in which it's turning.

I hope people are picking up on the little tributes to other stories littered through it

Pretty much, actually! Everyone was pretty much dead-on, and the regulars have been just as good as I've expected them to be!

A special mention really needs to go out to Charles Christopher, who is just superb as Trent Wilkins. I had a sleazy Tom Cruise-esque idea of the character in my head, and he really, really delivered.

That was fantastic!
I love the pacing of it - nice and easy, not too fast! Nice long scenes with great conversations. I especially like the scene just before the end with The Doc and Tom - really good stuff.

Great story and script so far (well done Ant) and as usual some excellent performances from the cast.

Looking forward to part two.

I really must get around to making these MP3 files into CDs as they are all excellent but are somewhat lost just sitting on my laptop. I really need them on my shelf - my actually collection of PS audios on CD currently stops at 'Once Upon A Time Lord' and there have been several stories since then!!!
I really should get organised! - or are CDs so last century?
