Episode is encoding now!
Reason for the delay: due to script editing, some lines of dialogue were missing from the script sent to one actor. As such, some crucial dialogue was lost. The problem was spotted earlier in the week, and said actor rearranged his schedule to get the lines to me- but could only get the last lines to me on Sunday evening!
I really can't understand why I sent him the wrong script, but I thought it best to wait until I could deliver the best possible episode, rather than rewrite the dialogue for myself (i.e. The Doctor suddenly saying, "Well, such and such told me that..." which would have been rubbish).
So, sorry about the delay, but the episode should be yours to enjoy in about 45 minutes!
Oooh, coconut macaroons!

Still playing a bit of catch up, I've just done part 1 - I'm only repeating what everyone has already said, but yes Trent in particular was very well played, just that bit too pleasant. Really great Cyber-voices at the end too (well done Ant C!).
I like how Ant W has taken the basic idea of how the Cybermen come, and given it yet another spin - we've had the Spare Parts version, of conversion of necessity; we've had the Lumic version, where a single man's drive to survive makes him want to change the world to suit him; now we have it as a combination of religion & business, which is an inspired variation. Holding out the carrot of some kind of 'universal Truth' as the ultimate goal, it's all too believable that some people would latch onto it and keep spending and spending... Quite a chilling thought IMHO.
Liked the nod to the Moonbase, etc (even down to that thing that the Doctor often seems to do in Cyber-stories for some reason, of sort of saying "I've seen this before" but never really realising where until the Cybermen have actually appeared!!) and also the way that although the Cybermen don't arrive until the very end, the episode never feels like its dragging - there's no sense of killing time, waiting for the monsters to show up, it's very well-paced and the Cybs turn up just when the story needs them to.
Part 2 shortly!!
