I put less sawdust /straw / newspaper in their litter tray to stop them making a mess, because they usually shred the lot and spread it throughout the hutch. However, I think that muffles the noise of them thumping. I'm pretty sure they have a few thumps every night, but without paper and sawdust everywhere they reverberate round the floor of the plastic hutch like a big bass drum.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!
