No Pip, each person can dictate to see or not posters sigs, avatars etc in their C.P.

That might speed up their own page browsing.

I see (my fault for speed reading).

Well, those of you who wish to, do so.

I never used it. The front page was always good enough for me.

Yeah, but Lissa's point was that any user can switch of those options as part of their personal preferences I certainly don't think they should be turned off for everyone.

There's lots of great features on this forum, I prefer this over EZboard by miles. Its not running at 'cripplingly slow' yet. I really appreciate the efforts to look at ways to speed it up though
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Without the 'Go' button the only way to get back to the forum you have just posted to is to scroll up a whole page of posts and click on a (very small typefaced) link - or else go through the main page again.

But could this link (e.g Planet Skaro > Announcements and Feedback) be placed at the bottom of the forum as well, just under what you've just posted? That would provide a part- solution to the problem, as then at least you'd be able to return to the forum you were posting to easily.

As I suggested to Wayne, you can just press the 'Home' button on your keyboard and you're right at the top of the page again, no fuss.

I used the Forum Jump button facility all the time and I would like to see it returned.
If the majority vote against then I'll gladly try the 'Home' key - thanks Pip, I wasn't aware of that option.
It's no big deal for me; I think I just got used to it being there and so now notice its absence - but if it doesn't return I'll have forgotten all about it within a week!!!

I've just realised what everyone's talking about... I went to use it and it's not there!

    Bring it on back immediately.

No - they changed Satan to 0118 999 881 999 119 725 3616 when the public were given a choice of evil lords and masters.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

I have voted after deciding that I didn't give a fig.

However, that now leaves everything as even even Rachel Stevens. So now what do we do?

So, Mr.Hunt, you turned down my extremely generous offer - of Paul McGann's wig from the TV Movie.

    This means war.

I fall in to the not fussed category too, I did tend to use it a fair bit, but if it helps speed up the forum it's probably best if it doesn't return, after all, it's not really that much of a hassle to scroll up the screen quickly.

I was under pressure from home also to vote "yes" but I went with my heart. I don't mind either way.

Though for the sake of other people, if there's no clear increase in speed by the button not being here, we should reinstate it.

Like so many other important political issues, it's just not something you can answer with a "yes", "no" or "maybe".

Well, I'm not fussed either as I always used the back button, but since the people who like it are very passionate about it, and I've never had a problem with the speed (though I have been absent a couple of weeks due to being busy at work) and also factoring in that it's absense hasn't apparently made PS super-speedy, I have voted YES, return the feature.

Who knows, I may try it and fall in love with it.

The forum's running a bit slow today. Can't you do something to fix it?

    Tee hee.
