I think I am too! 'The Road to Coronation Street' was brilliant, and this has the potential to be even better. That photo looks very intriguing.

Any further news on casting, though, now this has leaked? I've read rumours that William Russell will be played by Jamie Glover (son of Julian) and that Carole Ann Ford will be played by an unknown actress called Claudia Grant:

I can't think why Mr Hart!

Actually seeing the construction of this prop kind of reminds me of Ant C's effort back in 1990

I'm really looking forward to this program; I love the whole vibe of those early shows, even though I wasn't born until 1972!
Whenever I read about the behind the scenes of the Hartnell episodes or see documentaries on the DVD's etc I always find it all very fasinating and exciting. Maybe it's that feeling of it all being something new. I can't really explain what I mean but there's that whole British 60's thing that I really buy into. It's the same with some of those Ealing comedys or other British films of a similar era.

Wow. Screw Susan, that TARDIS pic is great. Wonder what it's meant to be from though given how rare location TARDIS scenes are in the Hartnell era. Unless it's meant to be a real Police Box.

That's what I thought, but then it makes no sense it being on grass & not on a pavement somewhere.

Still, it's an excellent prop for the original TARDIS & I'd love to give it...well not house room but...garage room.

    Maybe they're on Barnes Common?

Could it be a recreation of the end of The Massacre? I'm not sure how far into the story they're going to go, but I can quite imagine a montage of iconic scenes from the Hartnell era being done.

Of course; it could just be the open space that they are using to construct the prop!!!
Or maybe it's a scene from the show depicting the building of the prop?

Whatever it is it's most exciting

It's funny because I remember commenting during Dinosaurs how much he looked like Troughton.

Maybe he looks like all the Doctors in a certain light!

I'm not seeing Joanna Lumley there, I must admit.

It's when you put them both in a Patsy wig that the resemblance becomes obvious...

The new Radio Times confirms Lesley Manville as playing Heather Hartnell in the drama. Elsewhere, it's been reported that largely unknown actress Sarah Winter is playing Delia Derbyshire:

I was hoping they would include something on the creation of the theme music. How exciting!

Will they dramatise Ron Grainer's disinterested scribblings on the back of a ciggies packet for the theme or will they try & make it look like he knew what he was doing.
