Up until say 18 months ago I'd have said Diet Coke - plain, cherry or citrus fruit.

Then for some reason lost to the mists of memory I switched to Pepsi-Max and would now fight through a crowded street to get it in preference to any of the others. (even more so limited edition Pepsi-Max Citrus Freeze)

And there's definitely a taste difference, between Coke and Pepsi, and even Diet Pepsi and Pepsi-Max - though not enough to make the others undrinkeable, although I find 'regular' cola massively oversweet.
    Bazinga !

In the case of beer there is also the fact that cans keep light out much better than bottles.
You definitely get a metallic taste every so often from cans though. I'm not sure why, you'd think that sort of thing would have been sorted out ages ago, particularly as it doesn't seem to happen most of the time.

Given all the chemicals that go into soda, I somehow have the feeling that beer (in moderation) might actually be healthier for you as odd as it sort of sounds.. It's a good enough excuse for me to crack open a Budweiser instead at any rate.

Beer kept Great Uncle Angus going all through the week. Now it just keeps him going all through the night...

I haven't decided whether Beer Snobs or Music Snobs are worse, but both are pretty high on my list for derision.

Great Uncle Angus isn't a beer snob - he just likes getting peshed.
