I think the background music helped too!

It was quite tricky fitting that in with the monologue, I had to pull off quite a few crossfades and cuts to different effects, but I think the mood suited it quite well in the end. It's a gorgeous piece of music anyway - plus the narration was great, so that helps! With speeches like that it's difficult to keep it from being aurally dull, but I think it's ended up as one of the (many, many) highlights of the episode!

Did anyone spot the Dudley Simpson stuff in the middle?

I'd like to think the narration wasn't that "difficult to keep from being aurally dull"!! I was quite pleased with the alternate history I devised.

Also the script wasn't, I don't think, camp. I hope it was sinister and claustrophobic.

I love the script as you know Si, but I'm afraid Moonfruits = Camp. Although as the phrase gets repeated, what initially seems quite silly becomes more sinister...
