Seriously though, everyone would be complaining like billy-o if it was just the Ponds and no Doctor at all...

I enjoyed both of them, they're throwaway, sure, but a lot of fun as well and are nicely building up my anticipation for Saturday night.

Probably, but it's called Pond Life and I expected the focus to be on them with the Doctor making fleeting appearances.

The second one is a bit nothingy but they're nice enough for little extras.

    I liked Part 2 better.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Me too. Although surely it should have ended with Rory turning to Amy and saying, "Well, since we're in bed and are both awake...."

It looks to me like the "money" has been spent on Part One, with the focus probably going to shift more to the Ponds as subsequent episodes appear. Thus the name Pond Life will probably make more sense by the time we get to Saturday. - Although that's just the impression I get from having seen the first two.

No Doctor this time, but to be honest, I don't get it. It seems a bit pointless to me.

Best of the 3 so far. Rory's delivery of the killer line was fantastic!

Once you put all five parts together to make a bigger sketch, I think the whole thing will be rather lovely, won't it?

Ok, that makes better sense now and was probably the best one so far.

But, did the Ood really have to wear the pinnie?

24 hours ago you watched the Ood sitting on the toilet, and now you're worried about it wearing a pinafore???!!!

I must be a humourless party pooper but I hate them! The awful -AWFUL - bit with the Doctor with a baseball cap on back to front, dancing to rave music. The Ood on the toilet. I know it's not important, but this is just taking sacred icons and making them look stupid isn't it? I was getting quite worked up for the dramatic new season, but this just makes the characters into a joke.

Sorry. I just think this sort of thing belongs in a Kit Kat advert, not being proudly presented as a "mini episode" just before the new series airs.

Adverts to get people talking about the start of the new series - OK , fine.

Great pieces of art or exciting DVD extras they are not.

And if, say, each one took half a day to shoot, then why are they wasting time on them instead of getting more epsiodes finished for us to watch ?

Karen and Arthur filmed their last scenes back in May and they've been filming with Jenna-Louise for quite some weeks now.
If they'd not chosen to introduce her in the Christmas special we could easily have had her debut and the remainder of series 7 sooner should the production team have wanted to do things that way.
I don't think a couple of extra days filming a 5 minute short has had any bearing on the finished series.

I have to agree (not with the above post that is). Getting a bit stupid now.

So far it adds up to 4:34. If it is supposed to add up to 10 minutes part 5 is going to have to be the longest yet... Unless it isn't going to add up to 10 minutes...

I don't mind them... a good bit of fun. I'll show them to the kiddos tomorrow evening. I'm sure they will find them hilarious.
