Default Exciting* Factoids about Season 5

    *This is entirely subjective.

All covers for Season 5 are now completed, with artwork by Steve Alexander, Jon Masters, and myself.

Story 5 features the words "loaded", "Florentine" and "cursor". Story 6: "bell", "roof" and "Harvard". Finally, Story 7 gives us such gems as "beard", "sky" and "cables".

I've recently viewed video footage of the first recording session of this season, at which time I seem to have eaten ALL THE CAKE.

A NEW FACTOID EVERY DAY UNTIL OCTOBER 7!

Except for the days when I'm on a plane.

    Oooh, coconut macaroons!

Given the time difference, I board at 12pm GMT 30/9, and arrive in Australia 10am GMT 1/10. Which I suppose IS only a day.

There are lots and lots of cables in Story 7!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Recordings for this season have taken place in exotic locations as Hull, Clapham and Austin, Texas.

    days on a plane?
    Better than snakes.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to the epic season finale, where Brendan's Doctor faces up to those Evil Factoids.

There's a topical treatment available for dealing with unsightly factoids.

Can anyone wade in with factoids, or is this a forbidden factoid function?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I'm told that the London afternoon recording session got very sweaty. The fluids in / fluids out balance went a bit awry. Scripts got moist.

    Anyone can wade in!

    Especially with all those fluids.

    I've got a flipping Rory!

Oh, and the next story features the largest cast of characters in the season (and comes close to The Next Universe too!).

An exciting factoid for today: Although cross dressing was proposed in the original version of The Nelson Identity, none of this season's stories feature anyone in drag.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

The role of Lord Admiral Nelson, played brilliantly by Ashley Culley, was originally drunkenly offered to Stephen Fry over Twitter.

The hardest - and most hilarious - sound effect to realise this year was that of the time dialation barrier. I wrote it as sounding like "a rock hitting jelly."

The first scene to be completed for the season (recorded AND edited) was the first scene of Sunday's Much Obliged, Doctor! It contains the words "trace" and "chance", as well as a sound effect from the Pertwee era.

Are you sure about that one? I think some of Invaders was completed before we eveb recorded Much Obliged...

You might be thinking of the TARDIS scene at the end of Invaders... I think I probably did that one early on.
