You know, I'm not that bothered about The Aztecs SE. It'll be nice to see it further cleaned up, and have some more extras. Plus, it'll be worth the price alone for Airlock.
What I am really ticked off about, however, is Spearhead (see the separate thread). If I buy it, it'll be the fifth time I've bought it (just ahead of Remembrance and The Five Doctors at four times each)
Unimpressed.

I take it that may mean the "new" episode of The Underwater Menace may be stuck on the end of something else then? They've released two-parters before FFS!

Are they going to make us buy Spearhead on Blu Ray to get Zygons? Is it a double pack? It wouldn't be the first Bluray/DVD mixed pack. It's by no means clear is it?
Si.

Also, no mention of releases for April or May... curious! I wonder what they're holding back on...

I hope we get a Dominators SE with the Menace episode on it!
They could call it Menace of the Dominators!

Shame we have to wait over 6 months for the bloody Zygons.

delighted More than Thirty Years is being released yet at the same time dissapointed that they couldn't of updated it into a More than Fifty years and brought it right up to the present day and added sections that looked into the wilderness years of the 1990's with the books, BF audios and tv movie and the new series.
And yes I will get the Aztecs SE because I like the story but I disapprove of adding something that makes it a compulsory purchase. It's the Spearhead/Terror debacle all over again.
agreed they could easily of added Airlock to the future release of The Tenth Planet as it would of made up for the missing episode.

I can't find any energy to get worked up about any of this. It doesn't bother me that we're getting the 1992 Shada- that's the version I love, I don't care that More Than 30 years isn't being updated- it's a great documentary, I don't even mind that Airlock is coming with The Aztecs... Life is too short to get angry about these things.
We've had 12 years of mostly fantastic DVD releases, way above any other cult TV show. They've restored them all beautifully, so they look better than ever (in most cases), they've had attention paid to the extras that put every other show of its type to shame. Yes we might moan, but compared to stuff like Blakes7 and Star Trek (of all types) and the modern genre shows, we're head and shoulders above them all.

According to TV Shows on DVD, The Legacy Box will also include the McGann version if Shada...

Well quite. It's a strange old decision, but it saves them any actual work doing something else with it I suppose... so throwing it on there doesn't actually cost them much in the way of time.

According to Steve Roberts it was either this or nothing at all... so okay, I'll happily accept this. He also says that transferring it onto a DVD-R shouldn't present too much of a problem... but I'm not exactly tech-savvy, so I'll probably make a right nitwit of myself trying.

Ridiculous. Whatever they give with one hand, they take away with the other. I'll stick with our home-made version then. Why am I buying this again?

so am I correct in thinking that Terror of the Zygons is the last complete story to be released ?
That will then leave The Tenth Planet and The Ice Warriors plus The Crusade, Underwater Mennace and The Moonbase which because we have 2 of the 4 episodes are probably the only ones we could realistically hope to see animation done on them.

The Mind of Evil might be later.
I suspect the "gap" in the DWM article covering April and May is perhaps because BBCWW didn't want to announce releases in those slots that might be pushed back for one reason and another, so the chances are those slots are currently being held for The Tenth Planet, The Ice Warriors and The Mind of Evil, but if there are delays with any of those stories then instead we'll probably get Inferno, The Green Death and The Visitation.
