The Timelash commentary is a mighty hoot.
And we all join in on the zig-a-zig-ah!

I guess all the excitement over this release must be over now
However I went to the post depot to collect my shiny new release today but I haven't unwrapped it yet... Holiday blues I guess... just can't work up an enthusiasm .... still I suppose it is a Colin release, the best Doctor of the 80s

My copy remains sealed. It's put me off the whole range.

P-Bal remains sealed, his Timelash does not.

You were seduced by the Borad's Mustacozene gas.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

And half a bottle of unchilled Lambrini.

The wine has flowed freely tonight and I think P-Bal has had enough already...

I watched the docu tonight, & that's as probably as far as it's gonna get.
Saward needs a good ****ing, or some Prozac, or something. Maybe he'd feel happier if he removed all the mirrors from his house.

He only seemed a little bitter and twisted to me...
Did he and JNT have a thing going at the time and he got dumped?

Dangling on the edge of oblivion?

Colin Baker said in his DWM interview in 2003 that Saward seemed to change after he pulled out of a parachute jump that he Colin and JNT (I think) were doing. Literally at the last minute up in the plane he decided against it in a fit of nerves and was never the same since.
It's a theory.

Almost 4 weeks later (it was out of stock initially) I was somewhat surprised to get this today, given that we're in the middle of a postal strike!
With nothing on the box tonight of interest, I did Part One with production notes (big improvement on the previous couple as these stayed on screen long enough to actually read!). The story really is poor, but at least by reading the notes I don't have to pay much attention to it!
Pleasing Easter Egg and Coming Soon trailer watched too - even if the Tegan Box Set "came" two months ago!

Part Two and the Photo Gallery tonight - not much to say about the former, and the latter was almost as dull as the story itself - not helped by having an unmemorable soundtrack plus lots of b&w photos of actors/sets!

Tsk! B&W Snobbery!
Well I'm glad you enjoyed... er... tolerated Timelash. I honestly don't think it's as bad as all that, but it's certainly no jewel in the crownPity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

It's the anti-"Ghost Light". The story is okay (although it stops mid way through Part 4) but it looks crap.
Si.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm no b&w snob - I love b&w films - the b&w Carry Ons for example are generally brilliant and sadly overlooked, and some of the best sci-films are in b&w. It's just that there seemed to be a disproportionate amount of them for what is ironically seen as a colourful, gaudy story!
Anyway, I'm quite looking forward to seeing the new documentary...
Oh, and Timeflight's up next...
