Well obviously it's done as a result of special permission granted by the Royal We. I thought everyone knew that!

Well good for them I say!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

It took him long enough to marry though, didn't it?

That was a horrible story. Just goes to show that everything has consequences, even something that might be deemed "a bit of a laugh".

Yes, it's all very funny until the joke turns sour. And surely not totally unexpected? If you trick staff at a VERY well respected hospital into breaching the security, people are going to get reprimanded... given the sack... livelyhoods will suffer... but these people just didn't think about that.

I feel a bit sorry for the royal couple in all this - most people want to enjoy the moment when they start to let people know they're expecting, whereas Will & Kate have unfortunately got to put up with this dreadful story dragging on through the papers.

As regards the DJs, they do appear to have been pretty stupid BUT I would say in their 'defence' they couldn't have reasonably anticipated anybody killing themselves over this.

I have always hated the way some DJs think this kind of prank calling is acceptable.

Y'know if your teenager was caught making prank calls to hospitals or disturbing people at their home/place of work, someone would have a quiet word with you. However if you're a radio DJ, somehow your behaviour is legitimised?

One thing that I would agree with Tony Blair with is when he put the phone down on Jon Culshaw; this was during a stunt where he phoned him up while Blair was PM, and he was pretending to be William Hague, and he started mucking about. It's one thing to be phoning up Directory Enquiries and asking for the Master's phone number, but when people have important things to be doing, like looking afetr sick people or running the country...
