    Nice bit of tenor sax there!

    One of my faves isn't on YouTube so I can't share it :-( It's Bing Crosby with "Christmas Is Here To Stay". Bing's voice is extra velvety and chocolatey on this one!

    This one is a perennial favourite of my 'Miserable Christmas' compilations. A cheery enough tune, but ... 'It wasn't like Christmas at all!' And people going to Oslo...

    undoubtedly my favourite Christmas records come from 1973, Step Into Christmas, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and Merry Christmas Everybody, all of which have reduced me to tears at many a drunken birthday party.

    Even though I'm a big Springsteen fan, this effort by Darlene Love (written by Steve Van Zandt and backed with Springsteen's E Street Band) from the Home Alone 2 soundtrack is an overlooked Christmas classic which beats any of the Boss's own efforts.
