    This is horrible news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20730717

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

This is tragic. Heartbreaking. That anyone would go into a school and murder children in this way is shocking. I really feel for the familes of the victims, for those who witnessed the events, and for the families of every person in that school when they heard the news and had to wait to find out if one of the victims was one of theirs.

What I think will be even more tragic is the usual round of arguments about gun control and the total lack of any decisive action which will likely follow this, as it has previous mass shootings, and the thought that this will almost certainly happen again in a few years. Same old story time after time.

    It seems almost inevitable, sadly.
