How should WE be celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who?
I seem to remember a thread talking about how THEY (the BBC) should celebrate Doctor Who, but I was wondering, how should WE be celebrating it. And by "we" here I mean both as a forum, and more informally.
Is there any special Who event you're planning? Is there something you're planning to do (maybe digging out some DVDs).
I mentioned on another thread, and I'm going to mention it now (we've got months yet), but I would be keen on trying to put together an electronic book of short stories from Planet Skaro to mark the event. I've experience through my Software Testing books putting such things together, and my time working as an editor on Testing Planet, I think I'm able to step up to this.
Is anyone interested?

With a great big party?
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I know what I'm doing for 2013
Seriously, if you get a book of short stories together, I'll let you have one - if you'd like it.

We could hire a DJ and make him play all the Doctor Who related hits.
The only trouble is we won't know until fairly late in the day what's planned to be on TV that evening so that might hamper any get together unless we incorporate that.

We could go for the weekend before, or go for THE weekend and hope our Sky boxes, TiVo etc don't play silly buggers. There's always the iPlayer I suppose!
