Norman Jones has passed away
Just been informed by a friend who knew him that Norman Jones, Khrisong in 'The Abominable Snowmen', Major Baker in 'Doctor Who and the Silurians' and Hieronymous in 'The Masque of Mandragora' sadly died last month after a long illness. He was a commanding figure in all three of his 'Who' appearances, as well as in numerous other TV shows, and apparently a nice, funny - if foul-mouthed! - old chap in real life, who considered his acting just a job from a long time ago. Rest in peace, Norman.

Aww, how sad. he was great in all his roles in Who and had a lovely, rich voice.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

It's always sad to hear of anyone passing but the Who family is getting quite small.
R.I.P Norman.

We watched Mandragora only a few weeks ago and he's brilliant in that. He always gave it "his all".
