(Ex-)Who Actors News
Christopher Eccelston has bravely decided that yes, he will agree to appear in a movie with silly pointy ears and bizarre make-up:
Doesn't he look happy?
This is from the new Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World. Maybe it'll be brilliant.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

To be fair the first Thor was a great movie (though this second one isn't directed by Branagh, sadly) and there's a good chance this'll be a lot of fun too. Plus the paycheque probably helped influence his decision.
I still think he's a bit of a twat for refusing to come back to Who though."RIP Henchman No.24."

Jenna Coleman to Star in Death
Jenna Coleman to Star in Death Comes To Pemberley
It’s been announced that Jenna Coleman will play Lydia Wickham in Death Comes To Pemberley, a major new 3x60-minute serial that will be made for BBC One.
Based on the bestselling novel by P.D. James, the story returns to the world of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and involves its characters in a new tale of murder and emotional mayhem.
Producer David Thompson said, ‘We're delighted to be filming this witty, original and beautifully imagined book from Britain's best loved crime writer - murder and Jane Austen, a delicious combination! This will be a very unexpected and audacious period drama. And we are so pleased with the cast that have been drawn to it…’
Aside from Jenna Coleman that cast includes Matthew Rhys who stars as Mr Darcy and Anna Maxwell Martin – Suki in the Ninth Doctor adventure The Long Game - who plays Elizabeth. Doctor Who fans will also recognize Tom Ward – Captain Latimer in The Snowmen and here playing Colonel Fitzwilliam, and James Norton who recently appeared as Onegin in Cold War. Eleanor Tomlinson - Eve in The Sarah Jane Adventures two-parter, The Mad Woman in the Attic – is also on board playing Georgiana Darcy.

Not content with dressing like a fantasty twonk for Thor 2, Eccleston is now appearing in an HBO series that sounds a bit Christian Scientist to me...
http://www.deadline.com/2013/06/quar...vers%E2%80%99/
Co-written by Lindelof and Tom Perrotta based on Perrotta’s 2011 book, the project takes place after the Rapture happens but not quite like it’s supposed to. It is the story of the people who didn’t make the cut… and a world that will never be the same. ..... Eccleston, will play Matt Jamison, former Reverend and current editor of his self-published tabloid. This marks the first U.S. regular series role for Eccleston, repped by U.K.’s Independent and Principal Entertainment, who previously recurred on Heroes. He will next be seen in Thor 2 and Unfinished Song.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

He should have been Stannis on Game of Thrones...

That's a good idea actually, not that I dislike the actor who plays him, but I think Eccleston would have been better. I'm surprised he hasn't turned up so far in some other role too, along with other Who actors, as the cast is made up of so many fantastic British actors.

I'm not sure I can watch Adult Swim on Sky.

It is a bit ridiculous given all of the channels on Sky these days that no one's screening this, or Children's Hospital which is another superb Adult Swim show. I think the only legal way to watch them is via Itunes, but at $2.99 for each 10 minute episode it's all a bit expensive.

Here's a clip from the aforementioned NTSF SUV SD:: which shows Karen strutting her stuff. I have a feeling that Tim might rather like it...

That episode also has Fringe's Lance Reddick hamming it up to delicious effect, it really was a great one.
You have mail, btw, Tim, just in case you hadn't noticed."RIP Henchman No.24."

“I love the BFI. I love the Doctor and hope you enjoy this presentation. Joe Ahearne directed five of the 13 episodes of the first series. He understood the tone the show needed completely – strong, bold, pacy visuals coupled with wit, warmth and a twinkle in the performances, missus.
“If Joe agrees to direct the 100th anniversary special, I will bring my sonic and a stair-lift and – providing the Daleks don’t bring theirs – I, the ninth Doctor, vow to save the universe and all you apes in it.”“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

I wasn't sure where to put this but as they are ex-actors.......
This made me smile. It's a picture put up by Doctor Who TV showing Davison and McCoy apparently "protesting" outside the BBC about not being in the anniversary episode. I love the banners especially the one that says "Have a heart, Classic Doctors want a part".
Full story hereI’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?
