Maybe its something for one of the many shows the BBC are putting out for the 50th?

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Possibly. The article says Colin Baker was also present.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

As well as Ms Gillen, Colin Salmon and Anthony Head were in this week's NTSF:SD:SUV:: - here's a pic of a particularly feisty Mr Head:

Peter Serafinowicz and Julian Barrett were in it too, and they've surely got to turn up in Who soon, they'd be so right for it...

Anthony Head's head seems to have changed shape. Or maybe it's because he's smiling.

    Psycho Smith!

Doctor Who star Matt Smith is to appear in a musical adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel American Psycho on the London stage.

The actor is said to have begun rehearsals for the production today, which is due to open at the Almeida Theatre in Islington in December.

Smith will play Patrick Bateman, a fictional 1980s Wall Street investment banker who engages in sadistic, misogynistic fantasies involving rape, mutilation and torture.

Christian Bale famously portrayed Bateman in the film adaptation of the book in 2000.

The show has been described as a satirical commentary on the materialism and greed that marked the eighties. If it gains critical acclaim, it will transfer to the West End, and eventually to Broadway.

American producers are already said to be involved in the musical, according to the Daily Mail.

Smith's casting has been kept secret, with cast members only finding out at rehearsals today.

He has previously appeared on stage in The History Boys, That Face and Swimming With Sharks, but has never starred in a musical before.

The 30-year-old actor has just finished filming his final scenes as the Time Lord for the Doctor Who Christmas special.

The actor stepped down as the eleventh incarnation of the Doctor in June to pursue other projects.

American Psycho will open officially from 12 December, with previews from 3 December.

Can he actually sing? I can remember a few sing-alongs from Confidential, but John Barrowman he is not.

Karen Gillan's American sitcom shelved after it's 13 episode run. But Zap2it website won't go down without a fight for it!

David Tennant has received the Special Recognition gong at the National Television Awards. He looked fairly flabbergasted.

Yes - he really looked like he didn't know, didn't he. And his speech was lovely. What a nice guy.

I watched the first episode of that and thought it was pretty weak. But my girlfriend Mette stuck with it and said it gets a lot better, and that it was a real shame it was cancelled.

I thought it was Stephen Merchant, not David Tennant?

Ah, I see that article has been updated.
