Default The Big Finish Audio Avengers!

Just heard that they are going to start recording these tomorrow. According to the BF site there are at least 3 volumes, each consisting of four discs - so presumably four episodes in each set.

We may even find out who the 'exciting' actors they've cast are! If anyone's available to stand around at the Moat Studios tomorrow all day, please let us know if anybody famous turns up... hoping for Joanna Lumley even though it would be completely illogical for her to be in it.

Exciting stuff indeed. I should have offered my services as Steed.

    I hope it's Nicholas Briggs

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Writer John Dorney was reportedly 'Very Excited' about who was coming in to record. I'm expecting anyone less than Tom Hiddleston.

It would be amazing if they'd got Patrick MacNee to record something. I know he can't fly to the UK to record, but just an introduction (Fifty years of ...haha... The Avengers!) would be superb.

Then again, they probably can't afford to even include his photo on the cover of the CDs!

I see Colin Baker is going to be playing Dr Keel's surgery partner.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Anthony Howell is Dr Keel, Julian Wadham is John Steed

Phew at least it wasn't a well-known Doctor Who person. I thought they were going down that route with Sixie and Sophie. All looks very interesting. I'm happy!

Not sure if I know who they are, but they look superb. Hurry up and get it out there, BF!

The performances sound terrific. The theme sounds cheap and nasty.

Yes indeed- I've sent a tweet asking if they're going to use the original theme or not. I imagine this is just placeholder music, given recording only started a week ago!

I hope so, anyway- otherwise it would be far better to get Briggs to do it in the style of Counter-Measures.

Mind you, they really should just record six pieces and recycle them for authenticity.

    Oooh, coconut macaroons!

It's rather spiffing - why do we have to wait so long??

There's always a long lead-in with Big Finish. Actually, given our own experiences making Audio plays, BF are pretty damn fast!
