Call me cynical, but is this actually new programming? BBC3 showed 3 documentaries of Greatest something or other a few years ago, a couple of them were repeated recently. Are they just wheeling them out again, I wonder?

BBC 3 will be having a live after The Day of the Doctor party on November 23rd!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'll be there. Scratching my head probably. It now feels rather anniversary-ry doesn't it :-)

The Science of Doctor Who is deathly dull. Could have been great fun, but they've taken a science lecture and added the Doctor Who branding. Sorry Brian, you've let us down.

The scenes with Matt were nice though, but not enough to make this worthwhile IMO.

I agree Si - I don't think this is going to inspire any budding scientists. Still, things can only get better .....

Groaning at Dave's pun there! Yes, this wasn't much cop, I got fed up with constantly looking at the same few celebs in the audience, and to be honest I don't recall any of the conclusions drawn. I wonder what the likes of Jon and Jason made of it assuming they saw it?

Well the science wasn't anything I didn't know already, so I suspect not much.

We didn't watch this. Perhaps we won't bother now.

Someone on Twatter said they'd have been better doing a documentary looking at the various historical figures the Doctor has met. Good idea.

Well I enjoyed it. So .

But then I expected to as I'm quite keen on watching the Christmas Lectures every year so this wasn't all that different. It was a Christmas Lecture with a twist on a theme.

I managed a mere 2 minutes of the BBC3 Monster Countdown last night, and came away with more questions than answers
    - who actually voted for these ?
    - who was the idiot presenter condescendingly ruining it ?
    - did they show any full Classic Who epsiodes or was it all conveniently Nu Hoo ?
    - how predictable was it they would choose Dalek to represent Daleks ?
    Bazinga !

Joel Dommett is a stand-up comedian - just thought I'd save everyone else who'd thought what the bloody hell's he got to do with anything the effort of finding out precisely why the answer's approximately nothing.

I think it's fair to say Doctor Who has now taken over the schedules!

Yes, I think we have to give Moffat his due - Doctor Who is (at the moment) taking over TV.

And, curses, I find myself warming to him after his interview on (of all places!) the Graham Norton radio show this morning, when he kept using the term 'we' when referring to fans. Bless the man, as Sylvester McCoy might say.

I'm still disappointed we didn't get John Barrowman presenting "Doctor Who: 50 Years of Adventure - The Musical"....

Well, the Aftershow Party and The Ultimate Guide were quickly deleted after watching from my PVR.

I watched the aftershow party but as for recording it, no way. It was as bad as I thought it was going to be. But then it was also just a bit of fun so I suppose it did what it was meant to but nothing memorable.

Moffat's face during the One Direction live link was priceless though!

Nice to see Jackie Lane too.

    That live link was atrocious!

What is wrong with using Skype? We Skype my Father-In-Law all the time & there's no delay.

Probably due to the fact, noticing in the credits, that it was made by 'BBC Events', IIRC. I guess they like to use all that expensive equipment they've bought.
