The Doctors Revisited coming to Watch
Coming in October folks
UKTV channel Watch, which has regularly run repeat broadcasts of the 21st century incarnations of Doctor Who, has stepped up to provide British fans with an airing of the Doctor Who Revisited documentaries which have been airing around the world during the anniversary year.
The BBC America series has included opinions from many notable contributors from both sides of the camera. Each episode has been followed by a representative story from the Doctor in question’s era, a move that Watch will emulate.
According to Watch’s website, the First Doctor programme will air on Saturday 12 October at 2 pm, followed by The Aztecs. Doctor Who: The Companions will follow at 4.30, and Doctor Who Explained at 5.30.
The Second Doctor Revisited will air on Sunday 13 October at 2, followed by The Tomb of the Cybermen at 2.30. The Third Doctor Revisited is Saturday 19 October at 2 p.m., with Spearhead from Space starting at 2.30. The Fourth Doctor gets Revisited on Sunday 20 October at 2 p.m.; Pyramids of Mars is the story representing Tom Baker’s reign. No further details have been posted yet, but it is logical to assume that the other Doctors will follow over successive weekends.

Hi Duncan, I'm fairly sure that Watch is not a Freeview channel unfortunately. So I agree with you that BBC3 or 4 would have been more sensible and reached a wider audience.

Maybe they didn't want to buy them in since they're doing their own programmes for the anniversary?

Whilst I'm here, this is the schedule for tmw (Sunday):-
2pm Troughton retrospective
2:30 Tomb of the Cybermen
4:30 Who at the Proms (2010)
Shouldn't BBC3 or 4 be doing this?

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Tomb again. I havent watched it since it was first released and I didn't particularly enjoy it. But, Troughton is a marvellous Doctor and I'm glad two more stories of his have turned up. I wasn't overly enamoured with Victoria, I have to say though.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Thing to remember is that Watch is half owned by the BBC (BBC Worldwide in this case) so technically this is the Beeb doing something on its own channel. Saw bits of it yesterday (recorded Tomb for later in the week watching). But yeah, not quite sure why we can't have this on the official Beeb channels as part of the pre-anniversary frothing.

I see from yesterday's schedules they screened Spearhead from 2:30 - 4:30. That's clever of them :-)
It's the Tom Baker retrospective today at 2pm, then Pyramids.

They're not too bad- bit slight, but nice little overviews of each era. I was very amused by Camille Cadouri lusting over Jon Pertwee in yesterday's one!

Yes she had the hots for him big style! A pity Katy Manning wasn't there to add some sparkle.

I don't suppose anyone who recorded today's 4th Doctor revisited could do me a copy, could they? My sky box failed to record it after the first two minutes, as it coincided with a massive thunderstorm.

Have you got the Troughton one as I missed it! I've still got the Tom Baker one so we could do a swap :-)

Using a loom to connect a Sky+ box to a DVD recorder - how very steampunk ;-)
