It's the 23rd November 1988 and the Nemesis comet is about to hit Windsor. Will the Doctor, Lady Peinforte, Herr De Flores or the Cybermen get their hands on it first?

What do you think of Silver Nemesis?

I really love the build up in the first episode. It sort of falls apart from there...

The Cyber-Cricket team face their biggest challenge!

I think there's lots to love about Silver Nemesis. There's plenty of action and some great ideas. Possibly too many ideas, but there are some good ones.

I do love the Cyber-redesign. Very shiny!

I really liked all the TARDIS trips in pt 1. It gave it a bit of an epic feel at the time, as if it was a story that needed loads of locations and times.

Then it all became a bit of a mess really. Lots of to-ing and fro-ing without a great deal of urgency, but with a few nice set pieces thrown in. Good stuff from McCoy and Aldred, who like they're enjoying themselves throughout and the Cybermen look great... but not it's not as good as it could have been.

Charlton picked up three points. Glad we were winning back then as 25 years later is a different story indeed.

Back to the story, excellent first episode and a great cliffhanger, but as others have already said, parts two and three were not as strong. I do wish though, that the ending of "Doctor? WHO are you?" was explored a bit more in subsequent stories.

Last time I watched it, I really enjoyed it - but it took me a long time to enjoy it. In 1988 this was, to me, the weak point in the season by a mile. But actually, in a way, it's a good choice for an anniversary romp - it darts about all over the place, it's a mix of styles, and has some monsters in it!!

I've always like this story but it is flawed. It's a nice romp around both space(the countryside) & time. And as a self confessed Cyber-fan I always like seeing the evolution of the Cybermen & them going all shiny was a treat for the silver anniversary.

It does get a bit 'messy' but it's still enjoyable.

Fairly dull and confused. Perhaps if the Cybermen had played cricket I'd have given it more than 4/10.
