    Default Now with Extra Width

    Hi,

You may have noticed that Planet Skaro is now wider in your web browser than before.

We've added in some extra pixels (that were just floating around in the cosmos), revamped the banner and added new background to boot!

With the extra width we've put in a sidebar down the right hand side with the usual kind of thing people put in sidebars.

We will be adding to the sidebar over the next month, so keep your eyes peeled!

    {insert some kind of New Adventures-y 'too wide' for the small screen gag here}

    Looks rather splendid Phil!

I like the green hexagonals - feels like I'm on the Gold Run in Blockbusters :-)

Well I must admit that I like the forum to fill my screen and despite having a wide screen monitor when I zoom in I lose about 1/4 inch from the right hand side. So it's either put up with that or zoom out & have the writing smaller.

I also don't know what year the Day of the Doctor is out because it reads 23.11.1

Yes I know it says in the banner but that's not funny.

What DW celebrates its anniversary on November 23rd?

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Hmmm, I minimise my web page for more discretion while posting at work (naughty me!) so this has made the posts/threads much more narrow, not wider. Half the minimised screen is either blank or full of Twitter and FB. Not a fan, sorry Phil!

You can turn off the twitter/ FB updates by clicking on the arrow next to it Jonno, which makes the posts/ threads bigger in the screen.

I don't know if it's my work browser or not but when I scroll up & down the forum, the green hexangonals move the opposite way and it's quite distracting and a bit irritating.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

They appear to on my browser, but it's just an optical illusion.

The green hexagons did do a bit of scrolling when the page first loaded.
    I've put paid to that.

They should scroll in the same direction as you're reading.
Although I could do something fancy like parallax scrolling

It's still happening for me. Basically, if I scroll down a forum, the text goes up the screen but the hexagonals go down. It's just a bit crazy on my old eyes.
