Ultimate Doctor Who: Season 15

Graham Williams takes over as producer with the aim of toning down the horror of the Hinchcliffe years, which had proved controversial the year before. Robert Holmes moves on behind the scenes during the season too, and with Anthony Read as new script editor, a lighter, more playful tone is evident in the show.



The established team of the Doctor and Leela is joined by their robot dog K9 from The Invisible Enemy, and they take on Rutans, The Nucleus of the Swarm, the Fendahl, Vardans, Sontaran and TAX!

But which is your favourite?

Fendahl for me too, with Fang Rock a close second.

Fang Rock then Fendahl then at a push Invasion of Time.

The other three are the nadir of Who as far as I'm concerned.

Fendahl for me too. This, as Simon suggests, is a season one would find it hard to make up a top 3 from, and for all the wrong reasons.

Fendahl here too. A great mix of horror, a batty old woman and the Williams era approach to Who.

It's got to be Fendahl. Tom and Louise at their cracking best, the last really decent monster for a long while (thinking about it, we don't get a decent monster again until the Marshmen in Season 18) a superb atmosphere and loads of quotable lines.

Individually I don't particularly dislike any of the stories in this season but taken as a whole they're a real drag.

Well I've gone for Fang Rock with Image a close second.

Hate Underworld, not overly keen on Sunmakers but I really like the other 4 (yes even Invisible Enemy!)

Anyway, Fang Rock for me is one of my all time faves - I clearly like my Doctor alien and moody!

Fang Rock is the third 10/10 story in a row, Fendahl is wonderful, Invisible Enemy and Invasion of Time are shoddy but fun, Sun Makers is dull and Underworld is the worst Doctor Who story of all.

Much to my own surprise, I'm going for Horror of Fang Rock.

Fendy for me! Although Fang Rock wasn't too far behind. If Tom had cheered up a bit it might have swayed me towards Fang Rock

And now the brilliant Fang Rock is edging ahead, but only just. However, Fendahl is very good, and I do have a lot of time for Invisible Enemy and Sun Makers. Not so much time for the other two, though!
