Default Ultimate Doctor Who: Season 18

And so we enter the JNT years with a glossy bang. New theme, new look for the Doctor, new emphasis for the show under the new script editor, Christopher Hamilton Bidmead!

it's the last year for Tom, for Lalla and K9 too. In their place come a trio of new companions, Adric, Nyssa and Tegan, but not before the Master returns, there's a trip to E-Space and the Doctor becomes a cactus!

What is your favourite story in Season 18?

Uncle Terrance does it for me with State of Decay. It's a great, atmospheric tale full of vampires and quite creepy. (Thank heavens JN-T found it having been abandoned three years previously.)

Full Circle for me. A magnificent story of monsters that aren't monsters, a scary possession, great cliffhangers, superb music and the best ever shot of the TARDIS spinning through space. I adore it!

Another season I'm not overly fond of, but I'm going for State of Decay, which is a remnant of the era of Who that I like best.

Each story here has a lot going for it (yes, even Meglos!) and i love the overall feel of this season, but it was 'Full Circle' which most struck a chord with me, and it's tht which gets my vote.

I do like all these stories, as Dave says, and it has the most disturbing scene from my childhood...the Doctor DIED! & then became a "wet vet". But it has to be State of Decay. As an avid Hammer Horror watcher in my youth this resonated with me & harks back to earlier Tom stories I really like.

State of Decay is a story I always seem to enjoy watching. Full Circle comes second.

It's got to be Logopolis, it just has to be.

I'm amazed and delighted to be the first to vote for Warriors' Gate. Beautiful, intelligent and lyrical.

    And as for the story...

    Oooh, coconut macaroons!

Well it's the time to choose, isn't it?

And Si was egotistical enough to think it was Warrior's Gate I would vote for. Logopolis is my target!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

It a hard choice between Full Circle and State Of Decay, but I think the vampires get my vote here...

I'm being a right SOD (State of Decay). I did enjoy The Leisure Hive when I re-watched it recently, but SOD and Circle are superior stories. I find Traken quite dull.

Full Circle for me for all the reasons Si pointed out. And James Bree!

Just as well The Lads are taller than you then...

Only just Traken for me - the DVD of Full Circle improved my liking for it. Anyway, Traken - looks good great story, Geoffrey Beevers, John Woodvine...
