A hearty welcome to Day 5 - and it's a nasty one ! There are 3 characters' names here - all from the same Who story. Can you unscramble each line and work out who the character is? And which story are they from? Okay I'll give you a slight clue - the story is from 60s Who. Good luck!

With apologies to Duncan - I robbed him of a point!

Today's is fiendishly difficult. Maybe I'm just no good at anagrams.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I'll be astonished if anyone gets the first one just from the anagram - you need to get the others and identify the story first.

Is the exclamation point (!) part of the character's name?

I'm glad I got that point back as I doubt I'll be getting any more today. I'm hopeless at anagrams which is why I don't do crosswords or watch countdown.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

I don't think the ! is part of the character's name.

For those who have given up on the anagrams, have a punt on which story it is from the 60s. You've got a 1 in 50 chance of getting it right!

    Default Day 6

Those pesky Day 5 anagrams eh? Although to be fair a lot you got it right, so well done! The characters were:-

Ingmar Knopf (sounds like somebody from ‘Allo ‘Allo!)
    Celation
    Kert Gantry

All from The Daleks’ Master Plan

For today’s challenge (worth an eye-watering 5 points) let’s go back to the 80s and that exciting moment on Tuesday lunchtime when the new No.1 was revealed on Radio 1. But what’s this? Something’s gone wrong with the turntables! Mr DJ is playing mere snippets of intros!!

You have to name all the four Number 1 songs (from the early to mid eighties) from the cruelly short intros. You get an extra point for getting all 4 correct. I’m generous like that. Sometimes.

I was hoping for a music question, but I fear this will be typically fiendish!

Is the deadline first thing tomorrow morning? I won't be able to start this until tonight back home.
