Okay 17mins in and there's a lot to like:-
Dalek control room SFX - always glad to hear that again!
Mention of Terileptils - Hoorah!
"How those cyber evenings must fly"
Handles acquiring The Doctor's wig

Gave it a solid 8/10 in the end. Very enjoyable. Two things I still couldn't make out (Nyder deafness creeping in!):-
What does Clara say when she discovers the truth filter? The only thing I can make out is "control freak". She really does garble the other lines. The incidental music at that point was really quiet so that wasn't to blame. The scene should really have been re-shot.
What does Capaldi say after "Kidneys" but before "One question - can you fly this thing?" And I STILL really wish that wasn't his first line
So - wish list for next season:-
1. The new Doctor is edgy, and a little bit sinister
2. Clara stops being a bit pointless. Admittedly she's battled against 2 HUGE stories and didn't get chance to shine, so she's a got a lot of ground to make up!
3. The Moff bows out. I feel a bit guilty for saying this, because I've enjoyed a lot of his tenure (not all!) but I really think a new broom is needed now.
4. Life-size models of Handles are in the shops by Feb. A surefire moneyspinner!

She says something about fancying the Doctor I think. Rather tediously.

I've no idea where they can take her story, really. The 'Impossible Girl' has become the 'Convenient for any plot-solving' girl. She 'solved' the Name/Day and Time episodes, as well as being the reason the Doctor set out 50 years ago, and still being alive many times over.
Which could raise the question....if Clara was dispersed throughout the Doctor's timeline, there must be a version of her inside the Time War?“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

I can't tell any difference between Amy and Clara in terms of their characters. Hopefully the new Doctor finally means we do away with companions fancying the Doctor. 4 out of the 5 female companions since the show came back have fancied him and it's long since time that was phased out.

It's the cycle of fandom.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Taking everything into account, I though this was dreadful. Dull and over-complicated, and a complete waste of a regeneration story IMHO.
I love Peter Capaldi as an actor and he's an outstanding choice for The Doctor, but if the format of the series continues as it has done for the past 3 years than I'm concerned that his talents will be wasted.
