Historical people/places you'd like to see in televised Who
The Dionne Quintuplets from Thirties Canada. The Doctor could save them from their exploitation at Quintland. (Captain Jack Harkness probably dated all five Dionne Quintuplets when they were adults)

I'd like them to do a pirate story that had some attempt at research or vaguely realistic.

Henry VIII is a glaring omission thus far. Get a famous actor to play it and do it for a Christmas special to make it an event.

There's a wealth of American History that could be explored if they're still trying to tap that market. Abraham Lincoln (again)! Mark Twain! The Civil War! Even Christopher Columbus. Bob Dylan!
In fact, Columbus would be bloody fantastic. I think they've already done it as a Companion Chronicle, but there are now 20,000 companion chronicles covering every conceivable period of history.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!
