Default Should 'Radicalised' Children Be Taken Into Care?

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/poli...into-care.html

Wow, this has really bugged me.

“A child may be taken into care if he or she is being exposed to pornography, or is being abused — but not if the child is being habituated to this utterly bleak and nihilistic view of the world that could lead them to become murderers.”
In my view, children should only be taken from their parents as a last resort, if there is evidence of physical or mental harm to the child. I am concerned by the statement for a number of reasons.

Firstly, there is a risk that by putting this into law you may increase radicalism. If there's one thing that makes people more radical, it's having their child taken from them or being threatened with it happening. It would be inflammatory.

I'm concerned too about how any such law would be applied. Providing evidence of 'Radicalisation' would be difficult. It's far too sketchy an area. Maybe there are some cases where it would be obvious, where father keeps an AK-47 rifle above the mantelpiece and spends days and days teaching his children how to shoot. But what about the more border-line cases? The film Four Lions presents a young father who is dedicated to being a suicide bomber, but his home life was gentle and caring. Taking his child into care wouldn't solve or help anything.

There's also the issue of carrying out punitive measures before a crime has been committed. The child is not a murderer. They should at least attend a school where they will be exposed to UK society and new ideas to counter any 'Radicalisation' at home. It won't be as strong as the parents' influence, but it gives any child a chance to develop their own conscience.

It was mentioned that the number of radical individuals was in the 'Low thousands'. So are they talking about thousands of children being taken into care?

Maybe in some extreme cases this would be warranted, but there must be a better solution than this.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Boris Johnson is a ****ing disgrace, and probably the most expensive mistake London has ever made. He's not funny, or a loveable rogue, he's an evil bastard who is a firm believer in Eugenics.

The fact that he wrote this piece on the back of the Lee Rigby verdict, beggars belief....

What has been less widely understood is that some young people are now being radicalised at home, by their parents or by their step-parents. It is estimated that there could be hundreds of children – especially those who come within the orbit of the banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun – who are being taught crazy stuff: the kind of mad yearning for murder and death that we heard from Lee Rigby’s killers.
Failing to mention that the killers were brought up Christian! This is just more overt racism, continuing to stoke up hatred towards ethnic minorities, and grabbing more power for the state over individuals.
