So that's The Pirate Planet watched. Some marvellously bonkers ideas and again, some OTT performances. Subtle it wasn't, but enjoyable it was! Tom was a bit late in the day with his "banging his mouth on the console" routine to account for his injury - it was already apparent in Ribos!

It's obviously the sort of wibbly wobbly timey-wimey accidents that Time Lords suffer from, where the wounds suddenly turn up one day, and they have to cause them deliberately at some future point or else it affects the entire space/time continuum in a very nasty way, and their head falls off.

    Or something...

A Good Man went To War this morning over breakfast. I have a feeling I've only ever seen this all through the once, when it first aired. The plot best probably not looked at too closely, if at all, but if nothing else it reinforced what an extraordinarily good team Matt, Karen & Arthur were.

As much as I adore Capaldi, I still miss Matt

I didn't like that episode very much. He didn't rise very far or indeed fall very low either.

Rory was good at the start though.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I agree with you both, that's just what I found myself thinking yesterday - it's still a shame Matt went, regardless of how good Mr C is now. And yes, the episode wasn't really worth the hype it got at the time. Although Strax was very good, right from the off!

Matt is still quite probably my favourite.

Halfway through The Stones of Blood. I thought the Ogri were shot really well - they come across as really menacing even now. Plus K9 gets lots to do as well, and all the female characters are excellent. It's a fab story!

Finally got round to listening to the commentary for Planet Of Wretched Weevils - more interesting than the visuals...

My daily dose of the Key to Time continues unabated. I've reached Part 2 of Tara. So far so good, and of course, Mary Tamm's outfit in this one is utterly fab!

The Doctor lashes out and strikes "Romana" down with a sword. What a great cliffhanger!!

Both loops in one hand for the Five Doctors!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Halfway through Kroll. It's actually a lot better than I remembered - although Romana has suddenly regenerated into Zoe and his screaming her head off!

    The Fox Telemovie

I have one puzzling question about Eric Roberts:

Is he as obnoxious in his other works as he appears to be in this?

I notice that he has appeared in over 300 other roles - none of which I have yet seen. If this one is anything to go by, I will be avoiding them...

He makes my skin creep and crawl.... :-(

I'm keeping up with my daily Key To Time viewing. Today it's part 3 of Armaggedon. My word The Doctor got onto that waste metals chute rather quickly. But then again, if your tin dog is in danger then you would get a move on! Apart from Kroll, K9 really has played a blinder this season

I nearly didn't watch my daily Key To Time. What would The Doctor and Romana say??

They'd never speak to you again, and we couldn't have that!

I think it's fair to say that the whole of Ep. 5 is ... well just bizarre! From Drax and his Brixton accent to Dudley's wacky incidental music .... it all felt quite ... weird!

I've heard it said that episode 5 of The Armageddon Factor is the single worst individual episode of Doctor Who ever made.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Inch high Private Eyes indeed That's it - Key To Time completed. Valentine D is a suitably sinister Guardian! So my fave stories are:-

    1. Stones
    2. Pirate
    3. Ribos
    4. Armageddon
    5. Kroll
    6. Tara

I surprised myself with that list! I know Tara is quite popular with a lot of people.
