    As an extra thought.... how utterly insane and possibly senile would the Doctor have looked after his "Hey, let's go and rescue your dead boyfriend from the afterlife. Don't worry, the TARDIS will find him" speech, if the Master hadn't coincidentally just so happened to be in town running a consciousness-preserving fake afterlife racket? How on EARTH could he have done anything to even remotely live up to such a ridiculously bold promise? What the heck was he thinking....

    Maybe it would have proved to Klah-rer that there's nothing that can be done. He did a similar thing with Rose, sort of.

    On the other hand, he probably knew from the Listen episode that there was a future descendent from the two of them, except now that'll never happen unless Ms.Oswald hooks up with Danny's brother, Peter "The Panther" Pink.
