The second one triggered an involuntary reflex ... but when I checked, it wasn't what I thought it was !!

I'm struggling today.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

I'm fine with two and three, the first one I sort of know I must know it but it's not what I thought it was! They don't call it fiendish for nothing do they...

I took a punt. And lost. Probably.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I can't come up with anything at all at the moment which is annoying as I think I've done OK in this quiz so far.
I recognise the first one but can't place it but the second and third, I haven't a clue.I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

I'm confident about one of them, another I've took a punt on something pretty similar in the hope it's a re-recording or something.
And then there's the one I'll be kicking myself for tomorrow...it's been stuck in my head all day and I still can't figure out what it is!

Once the answers have been revealed, you'll probably hear my head thumping on my desk! At the moment, I can't even submit a best guess.

I think I'll be the same
Number 3 is really annoyingly familiar.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Well that's something.
Personally I'd rather I'd got them all right!

It's number one that's really familiar. I'm singing it to myself all the time but the name of it just won't come to me.
Edited to add;
I'm officially calling it a day and won't be submitting an answer today. Well done to anyone who got any of them correct. This one's beaten me.Last edited by duncan; 9th Dec 2014 at 10:25 PM.

Okay time to put you out of your misery:-
1. Rhonda (70s American sitcom shown here on BBC2 on Monday nights as I recall. I loved the unseen Carlton the Doorman)
2. Day of the Triffids
3. Albion Market (80s ITV soap)

So it was Rhoda! Blimey, that really is/was a dim & distant memory from childhood - probably inaccurately, but I mostly associate watching it with being at my Aunt's house (maybe they had a daily repeat run during school holidays or something). As well as the flat tones of the invisible Carlton, I also remember the opening spiel (before the theme kicked in I think) was "New York, this is your last chance!" which I still occasionally say!!!

I got Rhoda easily enough, I had seen some on YouTube earlier in the year. Day Of The Triffids is obvious now that I know although I would never have got it...I guessed at Mr Bean!
As for Albion Market, that used to be on in our house in the background...I don't think anyone ever really actively watched it regularly - but obviously enough for the theme to stick in my head. I recognised the music instantly and was certain it was an ITV series, but I could have thought about it for a week and never got it. Another blast from the past!
