Default Looking Back ... The Soap of Fatal Death

Continuing the re-release of the first season of PSAudios, next up is The Soap Of Fatal Death.

After doing Echoes of the Protii, there was hunger to follow-it up with another audio production; and the original sequel to Echoes of the Protii was the natural successor.

Here are the Trailer and Episodes of the story:

A classic story and no mistake. Well, mostly classic! There were some excellent cliffhangers, I remember.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Are you talking about the episodes - or the Clear Waters cliffhangers

    Both of course!

Then there's the wonderful surprise cameo from Lorraine Bowen. That was a turn up for the books.

And to top it off - she's not even mentioned on the cast List:

How big of her to not want a mention and not steal the limelight from the other actors in the story

I'm terribly fond of this one, but we wrote far, far too much. It was not a great adaptation- it needed to be tighter, but there was so much good stuff, it was easy to try and include it all.

I think my performance was misjudged. The spoofing got a little out of hand in my head, and well, i should have overplayed it rather than go for the 2D performance. Ah well.

Si did a splendid job on the production side of this one.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Rumour has it that there's an 8 episode version floating around somewhere.

    Any idea where?

It would be great to put it up on the website

I think Si would have the back up stuff for this one in his archive (it it still exists)

I really enjoy listening to this one, it manages to mix the absurd with the frightening in the same way as Who at its best - a lot of the Williams era, plus for example things like Greatest Show. Additionally, the cliffhangers are very good too - part two is a real WTF moment, and part three is chilling, and made even more so by Tim's performance. Really, really good.

    Not to mention the ending!
