25th anniversary of "Survival" Part Three
Today marks the Silver Anniversary of the broadcast of Survival Part Three and the death of Doctor Who - at least until it miraculously rose from the grave 16 years later to feast on the living and devour their delicious brains!

25 years, blimey! I was 14, loved the episode, really didn't think it would be the end...

the BBC's "budget raises" of DW never kept up with inflation. By season 26, JNT had less than a third of the purchasing power in his budget than Hinchcliffe had had in 1976. The entire budget for the final season of Classic Who couldn't have paid for two episodes of Star Trek: Next Gen

Interviews with the cast & crew from the era have said that they never wanted more money, what they wanted was more time to make the stories. Odd for a time travelling show.
