I remember that one from it's original broadcast...I loved it but.my parents didn't like it, so we didn't see too many of them at the time. Only one tv in the house in those days!

So it caused a bit of a buzz then...

Actually i remember having to read that one for English coursework. Must get around to reading some more of them one of these years...

The one I remember from the telly was the one where the wife kills her husband with a frozen side of meat, reports it to the police, then cooks the meat and seves it to Inspector Brian Blessed I think it was - "I put it in the oven for hubby's lunch, went out and found him dead when I got back. Would you like it Officer, it's a shame to waste it!"

Easter Holiday highlights on BBC Television in 1961 was The Black & White Minstrel Show, with Stan Stennett and Leslie Crowther providing the "non-Minstrel" entertainment bits (good career move!) Later on in the evening was this intriguing drama:-

You know I often do, so don't encourage me! But I know you lot - you will. You will, you will, you will, you will, you will.

    YOU WILL!

On this day in 1986 the first episode of Bread was broadcast. They never should have replaced Joey!
