The World is Your Lobster - The Minder Thread
Looks like I won't have to buy the boxed set after all - ITV4 are kindly showing the series from the start as of this Monday
Well I say from the start ..... episode 1 is strangely absent from the schedule, so I've just watched it online. I would hazard a guess that Arthur Daley's none -too-PC description of a black man ensured this episode's constant absence from terrestrial TV
Interesting that Waterman's character takes centre stage - George Cole isn't in it much. I wonder how soon that balance gets redressed?
Verity Lambert was Exec Prod of this series of course. I shall keep you abreast of any other interesting persons of note. I did spot an uncredited Lynda Baron collecting some glasses from Dave's bar! Oh and Peter Sasdy directed this Ep - he's famous for his Hammer films.

Oh drat - it appears that my ITV4 signal is too weak for my Freeview recorder to pick up. Boxed set time.... I hope it's got lots of extras!!

The World is Your Lobster - The Minder Thread
Not making much headway with this am I? Episode 2 viewed tonight - "Bury My Half At Waltham Green". Tony Selby and Kenneth Cope were in this one. I did notice the complete absence of any incidental music. Can't remember if this was the same throughout the series run .. I'll let you know. Should be all done by 2030.....

Episode 5 - The Bounty Hunter. Well - the stars were out in fine form in this Peter Sasdy-directed episode - Rikki Howard (Hi-De-Hi Yellowcoat), Peter Dean, Tony Steedman, George Layton, Christopher Biggins and Derek Jacobi. Not a bad lineup!

Perhaps this should be the thread to mention the sad death of George Cole yesterday, aged 90.

Yes you beat me to it Stu. Very sad. But what a great body of work he left us with. Will be making a start on S2 soon.

Another Galaxy of stars in Series 2 (I'm not watching these very quickly am I?!!) So in "All Mod Cons" we had Simon Cadell, Toyah Willcox, Tony Osaba, and an uncredited John Louis Mansi (Von Smallhausen from 'Allo 'Allo)
