    Default RIP Grace Lee Whitney

    I see that sadly another Classic Trek face, Grace Lee Whitney who played Janice Rand, has passed away at the age of 85.

    She maybe didn't have a long run in the series, but her character was certainly memorable and well-remembered by fans. It's sad to lose yet another childhood favourite...

    This is very sad news, and it was also very depressing to hear about certain elements of her life (especially the sexual assault by an unnamed Trek producer), but at least she recovered from her substance abuse issues and was able to help so many people after that.
