    Default Davison Survivor The Result

The scores are in from the final, but what will be the outcome?

    Evict:
    Five Doctors 4
    Earthshock 4

With a tie on the number of evictions, we need to look back a round to see who had the most evictions there and that was 3 for Five Doctors and 1 for Earthshock... so Five Doctors leaves the game and we have a winner!!!

    Evicted:
    Time-Flight
    Warriors of the Deep
    King's Demons
    Arc of Infinity
    Terminus
    Four to Doomsday
    Kinda
    Castrovalva
    Planet of Fire
    Black Orchid
    Frontios
    Resurrection of the Daleks
    Mawdryn Undead
    Snakedance
    Caves of Androzani
    Visitation
    Awakening
    Enlightenment
    Five Doctors

    WINNER:
    Earthshock

Well, I'm pretty happy with this result. If you flip the Top 5 it's almost in order for me, with Visitation, Awakening, Enlightenment, Earthshock and then Five Doctors my preferred Davison stories. I'm also glad Four to Doomsday avoided eviction for a few weeks as I've always had a soft spot for it.

The Five Doctors should have won because it's great! But Earthshock is a worthy winner and the top 3 was great. Of course Frontios went too early, as did Castrovalva, but that's because you all lack the great taste to know they're truly great Doctor Who!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Maybe two 😊 I'm very pleased with the winner, it may not be a"better" story than Caves, but Earthshock is, for my money, better at being a Doctor Who story. It's impossible to separate the story from the 1982 nostalgia (for me, anyway) but I still think it's a great story, Davison in particularly fine form and the new-look Cybermen feeling absolutely unstoppable.
