I thought that was great fun! Something which Doctor Who hasn't been for a while
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Yes agreed, it suited the earlier timeslot very well. Just a daft silly old romp - the end went on maybe a bit long, but it was fun, engaging, and I didn't have to think too hard about it!
I was hoping for some kind of 'Doctor Who will be back..." caption but there we go!!

Mostly good fun - the end was very touching I thought.
Does anyone else think that the Harry-Potter-Style Trap Street should appear in every episode from now on?Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I hope we go in a romp direction rather than mope!
I didn't enjoy Series Six or River in general, but I really enjoyed this one. The ending seemed a bit dragged out but the pay off line and captions half of made up for it!
I was dreading Greg Davies, but he's a better actor than a comedian!

Meant to say, we both really enjoyed the Doctor's "It's bigger on the inside" speech!

Enjoyed this a lot, as others have said it was great for the show to be really fun again. Solid, solid stuff with some very funny moments, and a strong 8/10 from me.

I'll be able to vote after I get to see it again without my Mother-in-Law talking over it.
But it was good fun...what I saw of it.

Just me then?
I thought it was rubbish. It was played for laughs most of the way through and it just didn't work for me.I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Not bad at all, quite fun but starts to fall apart if you think about it too much. Mrs M thinks it's the best Christmas episode she's been forced to watch.
Bazinga !

Finally got round to watching it - yep great fun, and such a refreshing change from the season just gone. Nice to see PC with cropped hair and a proper suit! Please continue this into the next season Sir

Business as usual for me having hated much of S9, even re-using sets from a couple of episodes prior....
...and then we got quite a beautiful last 20 minutes or so. Excellent performance from Kingston, really raised the episode up.
I'd go with a 7/10 right now, even with an annoying Matt Lucas and some very poor "acting" from Greg Davies.“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Whoever is doing the music volume should really listen to the episode afterwards.

Better than I expected. Alex seemed to really have put her heart into the episode. Enjoyable.

Oh dear - it was shite. Another waste of an hour. I love PC but he's lost in what is largely rubbish.
Let's hope 2016 brings us some more straightforward adventures rather than over-complicated nonsense.

The fact that I only just watched this is an example of my apathy at the moment. Like most of the last two series this was garbage. Someone supposedly as inteligent as River should have picked up on the Doctor, his stance, manner, much earlier.
The last 10 minutes or so were better, and really this whole episode was probably only to close the book on the Doctor and River.
