Default The Doctor Who think positive game ...

I thought of this just, and thought I'd give it a try.

I'll start with a story I never really liked. The person to reply has to say something positive about the story, then nominates a story they don't like, and so on and so on ...

    For example

I don't like Earthshock, feels like such a rip off of Aliens to start with. When we get Beryl Reid as an embittered space captain - what were they thinking?
    Reply

But they get rid of Adric once and for all.

    I personally didn't like ...
So I'll start the ball rolling with ...

I never liked Peter Davison's Black Orchid. All the cricket talk and the feeling of watching Doctor Who do Agetha Christie annoyed me ...

But it's short, so at least you can get it over with quickly.

I personally don't like The Monster of Peladon...

Er... er... er... Vega Nexos is a treat, it makes the Pertwee era seem twice as long, the new Queen of Peladon is very pretty, The Ice Warriors make a return to being evil and we get the line 'Thank you Eckersley. But you're still a traitor!' from Alpha Centauri.

Tenth Planet is a major snooze-fest, except for...
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

...for the superb effects of Kane melting. I loved that when I first saw it as I thought Doctor Who would never do any such thing so close to a Hammer film.

But it has some fantastic modelwork that is better than 3/4 of the stuff seen in the original series.

Oh and Planet of Wretched Evil has a good jungle, but there's a better one in Creature from the Pit, and the rest of the sets are very cheap.

The Chase is a bit shoddy, but...
