Is It Possible To Talk Underwater?
OK - random question time. This is bugging me now, someone mentioned it at work.
I know whales and dolphins communicate under water, but they come to the surface to take in air, which allows them to make noises.
Do other animals/fish make noises underwater? Would it be possible to talk underwater?
Who knows?Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

It's not possible to talk under water unless you have an air chamber. But divers do use Full Face Masks which allows short range communication. I believe whales use internal vibration to make noises that then travel through the water. But Dolphins I believe don't need air to make noises, they click. The same principal as making noise under water by hitting something.
Was that what you wanted or am I just bored & rambling?

That 'sounds' helpful, Tim. Divers, I believe, use various elements of sign language to communicate.

I can do a great "being dead" act under water. I just sort of lay there, floating on the surface with my eyes all open and goggley. Combined with a reasonable ability to stay underwater without coming up for air for a fair while, it's a great party trick for scaring relatives.

Of course. I'm talking about scaring them, not shocking them dead which would be the case if my dong was flopped out as well.
Why would I even be naked anyway?

It's just the way I imagined it.
Actually it was because I thought for some reason you'd do such a thing in the bath. But that'd be madness. Mad mad mad madness."RIP Henchman No.24."
