Default Theives Steal 70,000 of Easter Eggs

Not a good year for Cadbury is it...

A lorry containing Cadbury chocolate eggs worth an estimated 70,000 has been stolen in Staffordshire.

Three thieves tricked the driver, who had stopped in a lay-by on the A38 near Lichfield, by telling him the van was shedding its load.

When he got out of his cab to investigate, some of the thieves jumped in and made off with the eggs.

The lorry had been taking the eggs north after collecting them from the factory in Bournville, Birmingham.

The driver thought he'd shed his load

The rest of the gang made off in a grey Subaru Impreza following the theft on Monday.

Police said one of the suspects is white, aged between 25 and 30, about 5ft 10ins tall and with short hair.

I'll be there to egg them on.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Do you think that if the Police don't find them that there will be egg on their faces?

I'm hoping for a 'Myrtle Moo' from Marks and Spencers.

The lorry driver was reportedly in a state of choc after the incident.

Must have been desperate it's not egactly going to be an easy thing to shift.

Unless of course they stole them to try for a new obesity record.

They'll have no problem shifting them- hundreds of thousands of units are shifted each year. Go to nay local market and you'll find them there for sale at knock down prices. That's where they'll end up.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I got a TARDIS and a Dalek easter egg last year. I'm hoping for similar this year.

(And yes, I am sad enough to have kept the boxes.)

    Surely you mean 'dirt cheep?'

Are they sure it was guys who stole the lorry? One of them might have been a chick.

    In other news:

They're not Creme Eggs, but I think they could manage about twenty-five quid's worth.
