Well yesterday was grimly fiendish, with only one person answering correctly! Wrong guesses included:-

    JRR Tolkien
    Peter Sellers
    Leslie Crowther
    Nigel Davenport
    Oliver Postgate
    Dennis Compton
    Graeme Garden

The correct answer was Mr Record Breaker himself .... NORRIS MCWHIRTER

Not only did Jonno get it right, but he played his joker as well! So let's take a look at the Leaderboard ......

Still early days, and anyone can still win ... congrats to Richard & Jonno!

Welcome to Day 6 - and it's one of my faves - The Doc Mashup!

Doctors One and Two are in the farmhouse kitchen arguing about something (probably the yeast content in the bread). Can you fathom out which two stories are featured here?

Norris McWhirter...I haven't thought of him for years! I'd never have got that, even if we had a week to answer!

I'm quite happy with 4 points, although it could easily have been 5 if I'd simply had more time available on Sunday (the cover I didn't get was on my shortlist!)

That name never entered my head. I went with Denis Compton seeing as he was talking about a second 11. I thought it was someone in cricket!

Well done to Jonno for getting that one!
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

    Nice to hear Fruity Flutes!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Norris McWhirter... I was just thinking about him the other day because his name has the same number of syllables as Eleanor Rigby.

I thought it was someone in cricket!
So did I! But google provided no easy cricket answers.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Wow, joint top - must be the first time I've managed that! Tricky one today, but I love the background music!

A slightly easier day yesterday, the two stories were:-

    MARCO POLO
    THE MACRA TERROR

    Welcome to Lucky Day 7!

Can you name this rather worried-looking actor?

    Yep, got today's. And yesterday's!

CURSE THIS COLD! I forgot to send an answer yesterday, and could have got myself off 0 points with Marco Polo! (Though would have guessed wrong for Troughton - was thinking Enemy Of The World there...)

Tomorrow's question is a music one - which will delight some and horrify others

I fear my slender joint lead may be about to evaporate ... whatever happens though I am determined to submit answers every day this year, however hilariously wrong they may be.

I shall now bow out of the competition...but I will continue to guess when I can.

I'm actually on 100% correct answers sent in I believe...but seeing as with one thing or another I've missed the last 3 questions that's nothing to be proud of.
