    The news we've all been dreading since the news broke of her recent heart attack. Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher has died age 60.

    Just saw this on the BBC website. Such awful news. RIP Carrie. May the force be forever with you,

    So sad. It felt like she had so much more to give.

    Her reappearance in The Force Awakens was a real high point of the film for me. It brought unexpected tears.

    It appears that she had also completed filming for next year's Episode VIII, which will no doubt be even more poignant as a result.

    It gets worse - her mum, Debbie Reynolds (Singin' In The Rain), has also died. Given the list of people who've died this year, it'll be a pleasure to get it over and done with.
