If it is true then I'd guess it'd be a one off bit part ala Frank Skinner in Mummy'.

Walsh has been confirmed, along with two new companions - http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-...-cast-members/

But on the downside, seems we're only getting 10 episodes next year.

Hopefully they will be 10 good episodes!

Having three new companions is too much for me to process right now and I have no idea how its going to work. We'll just have to wait and see! I wonder if we'll get a thrilling trailer at Christmas?

It's worth saying that the announcement has described the three new characters as series regulars and "friends". There's no confirmation that they will all be classed as companions in the traditional sense. My suspicion is we'll see a departure from the traditional formula of Doctor + Companion go off travelling and have lots of adventures.
Possibly something closer to the UNIT family / Exile to Earth era but maybe with more of an RTD family / soap flavour to it?

It all looks very exciting and the promise of a different dynamic in the TARDIS is great.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

My prediction for the Bradley Walsh character, he is repeatedly mistaken for the Doctor and there are numerous funny/uncomfortable/tedious explanations that he isn't and the 'blonde' is.

    Hope I'm wrong though.

I've often been mistaken for the Doctor. I then happily correct people by telling them no, I'm the Sontaran - and then doing them some serious nastiness.

It's like that tale of the little girl who had been bought a nurse fancy dress costume and she said she wanted her brother's doctor's coat and stethoscope.

It's not the same at all! I wanted the nurse's outfit!
