Looking forward to it...it's one of the highlights of the year!*

Unfortunately my aspirations lie more in the region of not finishing last rather than being near the top of the table though...

*Edited to add: that's if you can count a daily dose of frustration, puzzlement and mental torture a highlight at any rate! Bring it on!!!

    Second place prize is ......

And the first place prize is the rather wonderful ....

Is it really that time again already?

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

So just a brief reminder of the most important rule in the Universe ever - send your answer to me by Direct Message - don't post it here on this thread!

Ooh, we play the game again, Timelords.

Yes, I know one of us says that EVERY year, but it's so hard to resist.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

This year's thread is now stuck to the top of the Picture Gallery in anticipation.

I'm still recovering from the managing to submit answers every day of last Advent and that some of them were even correct answers (although the least said about the tie break the better ).

I am really hoping to get one question right this year. At least one!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Don't worry - I'm planning to take part again so that spot's taken!

OK, I think last year I was too shagged out from coming home from an outsourced Argos call centre job to commit properly. I think the year before that I had connection issues.
This time however, this time there will be NO MIS-TAAAAKESSS as the monsters from the seventies would say!

I look forward to locking horns with you all! It's a lovely December challenge!

In the past there have been slightly more Non-Who questions compared to Who questions. This year it's a 50/50 split. Whether that helps or hinders you remains to be seen!

As ever you have two jokers (one Who, one non-Who) you can play at random which will get you double points if you get the question right. You can play your jokers on the following days:-

    Who Joker - 1st/3rd/10th/11th/13th/19th/20th/24th

    Non-Who Joker - 2nd/5th/6th/9th/16th/22nd

You have to nominate which day you'll play your joker BEFORE the question is posted for that day (which will usually be just after 7am).

    Be lucky with your jokers

I suppose that will depend on the questions...

OK, I'd rather risk answering wrong and losing than playing a Joker on a day where I know the answer.
So... Brave/Stupidity alert! NO JOKERS for me this year! All or nothing! Let's go for it!

50% Who questions... this really will sort out the true Gallifreyans from the Shobogans!

Obviously the quiz master's decision is final but surely playing jokers is compulsory whether you like it or not?

Jokers aren’t compulsory - but they are very annoying if you play them on the days where you get it wrong, and don’t play them on the days you get it right. It’s the old jokers curse/allure dichotomy

All the fun starts tmw - good luck everyone! And remember... it’s not the taking part that counts - it’s the WINNING!!!! Or something.

What was last year's mystery prize after all? I remember there being a tie breaker.
