Jokers! These are the cheeky chaps that earn you double bubble when you elect to play them. You get 2 jokers each, and you can play one on a Doctor Who-themed question day and one on a Non-Who themed day.

You can play your Who jokers on Days 5,8,11,13,15,17,21 or 23
    Non-Who joker days are 1,3,4,7,10,12,16,18 or 24

But you probably knew that already

To lose is to win, and he who wins shall lose. (I shall be comforting myself with that as we get towards the end of December no doubt...)

I thought perhaps you'd decided to have the year off, Dave - but I'm very pleased to find you haven't. Hurrah, Christmas can now start!

Great. My one highlight every year. Thanks for taking the time to organise this again, Dave.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Now, Dave, remember what I specially asked for last week (or should I say begged for?!) ... some easy questions...?

No?...I didn't really think so! Never mind...let the fun begin!

Blimey Mac, just for a minute I read that as "some equations" and I thought I might have to give up right now!!

I can categorically state that there are no equations in this year’s quiz

Stephen Hawking wrote in A Brief History Of Time that each equation in a given book halves its readership. Which is why nobody publishes anything in Old High Gallifreyan anymore...

All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not playing my Joker today! The face looks vaguely familiar but I'll have to have a wee think about it...probably for most of the day!!!

It’s the fiendish sort of question I love - familiar enough to annoy you all day

Why don't you start with a fiendish question?

    Oh you have, you rotter!

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Well, I've taken the plunge and submitted an answer...which, admittedly, I'm 100% sure is well wide of the mark!

Hmm, well day one was a great start... Not Richard Vernon then. Ah well.

    Day two though...

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I couldn't even submit an answer for day 1. Off to a flyer then.........
